Dana Nunn | Interior Design Director
ASID National Honors Recipient,
2021 Medalist Award Winner
The American Society of Interior Designers/ASID Medalist award recognizes members and partners who have demonstrated outstanding service to ASID, have provided significant contributions to the interior design profession as well as enriched the human experience.
“My passion is designing interiors that are human focused, celebrating heritage and tradition, reflecting the vibrancy of people and the region, creating a strong sense of identity and place, and ensuring a continued community legacy. Interior design is a technical, complex, and human-centered practice. Design in Alaska is more challenging than other locales due to climate, geography, and logistics. I have always loved working the puzzle that each project presents and find immense satisfaction in knowing I had even a small hand in advancing an organization or community.
Midway through my career, I’m discovering the importance of legacy. I have benefitted from wonderful mentors over the past 20 years and it’s important to me that I pay it forward, mentoring students and emerging designers, and advocating for things that are important to our profession including the right to practice, education and qualifications, and responsible development of policies, codes, and standards.”
