Mark Kimerer

TEAM DETAILS

Intentional designs through a
collaborative approach.

Mark started Bettisworth North’s landscape architecture group in 2010 and became a principal in 2014. With more than 25 years of experience in the field of landscape architecture, his desire for the built environment is to create buildable site designs that work well for the public, clients, and the environment. Mark believes community and professional involvement are integral parts of our responsibility as leaders committed to make a difference. Mark volunteers for Engineers Week, served on Anchorage’s Urban Design Commission, and was president of the Alaska Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects.

Mark’s greatest satisfaction comes from successful collaboration with team members. He is comfortable working within large, multidisciplinary teams while arranging and designing smaller projects. He takes a special interest in creating a firm culture that is built on positivity, communication, and community values.

Moving to Alaska from Montana, Mark had no trouble adapting with his strong love for the outdoors and mountains. You are likely to find him out biking on the Coastal Trail, hiking Near Point in Chugach State Park, or skiing at Arctic Valley.
