Pioneer Park is located in Fairbanks, Alaska, on the banks of the Chena River. The park is a unique part of Fairbanks history, culture, and everyday life, and is deeply integrated into the lives of Fairbanks residents while also serving as a tourist destination for guests from all over the world. Approximately 350,000 people visit the park every year. The goal of this master plan is to build on the unique aspects of the park while improving its functionality, increasing revenue, and addressing critical maintenance needs.
