Tiffany Coffman

Certified Healthcare Interior Designer!

Passage of the examination and earning the CHID credential signifies that Tiffany has met the rigorous standards for education, experience and examination and is a Certified Healthcare Interior Designer. Certified Healthcare Interior Designers (CHID) are recognized for their excellence, commitment, and knowledge of acute, ambulatory, and residential care facility design. As a CHID, Tiffany brings a specialized knowledge of healthcare facility planning and design to the Bettisworth North team. Her passion is to improve patient care though enhancing safety, providing solutions (EBD) that improve health outcomes, and maximize efficiency.

Tiffany is most passionate about design for individuals with specialized needs, and specifically seniors. Her experience of frustration and disappointment when unable to find suitable amenities for senior care in Alaska inspired her to take on a 12-month capstone project during her senior year at university. Through evidence-based design, she explored senior living models of designing for human behavior and comfort, creating spaces that encourage activity, socialization, and community involvement. Since that project, Tiffany has continually sought out professional development experience and research, including touring a variety of care models, interviewing seniors and staff living and working in senior living facilities, research in biophilia and northern daylight design, and continued education in aging-in-place concepts.

“We are extremely proud that Tiffany has earned her Certified Healthcare Interior Designer certificate. This important, industry-recognized credential requires a diligent focus and deep understanding of the complexities of designing for healthcare environments, and we appreciate Tiffany’s dedication and expertise. The certificate also underscores our firm’s commitment to providing the best healthcare design services in Alaska and ensuring that our clients have access to the most qualified interior designers possible.”
